Corral del Rey is a tiny little street in Seville’s historic neighborhood of Barrio Santa Cruz, five minutes walking from the Cathedral.
The former jewish area of the city is indeed characterised by narrow streets in order to favour the shade and the breeze during scorching summer days (summer in Seville usually lasts from May to October). Some of the streets are so tight that not even cars can go through them, giving this area a certain tranquility. A very different feeling from the buzz of the areas right next to the Alcazar and the Cathedral.
CORRAL DEL REY BOUTIQUE HOTEL
The number 12 of this quiet street is the namesake luxury boutique hotel, Corral del Rey. Guests are welcomed in the main Palacio, where they will admire the patio decorated with Roman marble columns and original wooden carved detailing. All while sipping on a freshly squeezed orange juice.
It is absolutely impossible not to fall in love with this hotel. Meticulously restored by entrepreneurial brothers Anthony & Patrick Reid, it never lost that ancient sophistication of a Casa Palacio of the XVII century. All the areas and the decorations recall the mudéjar style typical of all Andalusia, revised in a urban-chic way by interior designer Kuky Mora-Figueroa, in order to guarantee the comfort of a luxury hotel.
Corral del Rey is composed by 16 bedrooms and a Penthouse suite, spread over three different buildings. The main building, where guests are welcomed, has different rooms, a dining area where breakfast is served, a roof terrace and a vault cellar, ideal to enjoy a drink and some tapas. The other two buildings, right in front of the main one, have the same structure: on the ground floor, the lounge area has a very equipped honesty bar (you can take whatever you wish, from gin&tonic to a slice of homemade cake, as long as you sign everything on a piece of paper: this is why it’s called “honesty” bar), while on the upper floors there are the rooms.
The bedrooms are divided into 5 categories: Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite, Pool Terrace Suite and Penthouse Suite. All the rooms are spread around the central patio and are decorated with an eclectic mix of ancient and modern. Therefore guests will find marble bathrooms and gigantic moroccan mirrors, the very best linen and custom made bathrobes, oak floors, arabic-like lanterns and in-room sound system. The Pool Terrace Suite and the Penthouse Suite have also a private plunge pool on the terrace with a lounge area, perfect to enjoy the sunset and the view on the roofs of the Barrio Santa Cruzwhile while sipping on a fresh cocktail .
Furthermore, the concierge service of the hotel will guide you through everything Seville has to offer: from corrida to flamenco, to how to skip the queue at the Alcazar and the most fashionable restaurants in town.

HACIENDA DE SAN RAFAEL
Reid brothers didn’t want to stop after the creation of their luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the city. That’s why they went on renovating a former olive estate, half way between Seville and Jerez de la Frontera, in the beating heart of Andalusia. The retreat, called Hacienda de San Rafael, has 11 double bedrooms, situated around a bougainvillea filled courtyard, each with its own veranda.
Guests have also the possibility to enjoy three Casita Suites located in a private garden with a shared infinity pool; each Casita has a large bedroom, separate living room and an upstairs siesta zone. An outside chozita offer guests a comfortable day bed for relaxing or individual dining.
