Attrap Rêves, literally “dream catcher”. And catching a dream across the Milky Way is what guests will be allowed to do while staying at the first hotel made of…transparent bubbles.

ATTRAPE REVES…. DREAM CATCHER

Born in 2010 from an idea of French designers Frédéric Richard and Pierre-Stéphane Dumas, Attrap’ Rêves wants to combine hotels’ comforts with a complete immersion in Provence’s nature and landscapes. All with a thorough eco-friendly and eco-chic philosophy.

In fact, the Bubbletree’s transparent pop-up tents that form this “portable” hotel are constructed using only recycled materials. A fresh air blower maintains the shape of the bubble without consuming more than 55 watt. And the structure protects adequately from UV rays. The ideal place for those who love and protect nature. But do not appreciate humidity and bugs as in a traditional camping site.

HOTEL IN PROVENCE

A private path leads to your bubble: after all, transparent walls require more attention to privacy. Every bubble has different furnishing, depending on the mood you desire. From modern suite design to 1001 nights’ feathers. From zen-ish bamboo to glamorous warm colors. You can also have a luxury treatment. Choosing between a refined dinner with local products and wines or a private jacuzzi with massage included.

But if you have walked all this way, what you really dream of is lying on the bed, turning off all the lights and let the starry blanket above be wrapped all around you. Also, there’s a solution for those who seek an adventure in outer space: a telescope and a sky map at your own disposal.

Attrap’ Rêves’ round structures are themselves worth a trip, but they can also be a perfect base of exploration around natural parks and characteristic villages in this part of France.

BUBBLES HOTEL

In Allauch, where the entire project was born, the bubbles are situated inside a pine tree forest 30km from Marseilles, and from here you can go on an excursion riding a bike or a horse, reaching the seaside and the Parc National des Calanques or the small town of Cassis, where you can taste the liqueur cream with the same name or the sweet nougat.

Forcalquier it’s the only location with dog friendly bubbles, and from here you can enjoy a breathtaking view on the Parc Natural du Luberon, speckled with villages and Provencal markets full of candied fruits and seasoned cheese.

Staying in La Bouilladisse you will feel like diving into Paul Cézanne’ brush strokes: this is the very spot that inspired the painter for his “Montaigne Sainte-Victoire”. The iridescence coming from the rocky hills, the unexplored paths between roman ruins, caves that hide mineral treasures: all these elements make La Bouilladisse the perfect location for an exciting trip and, why not, for a yoga retreat.

The iconic lavender sea of Provence wraps the Attrap’ Rêves in Montagnac-Montpezat, right next Sainte Croix lake, an ideal place for water sports like rafting or scuba diving. In January you can’t miss the truffle market, with the pine trees of the Parc Natural du Vendon as a background.

Least but not last, in Puget Ville music will keep great company during your stay. In July, Porquerolles hosts the Jazzmen festival, where saxes’ virtuosities are matched with glasses of the finest rosé wines of the Côtes de Provence.

Attrap’ Rêves is those and many other things. But above all, in its creators’ words, it’s “an unforgettable souvenir. A cosmic and poetic experience”.
