Fashion is research, discovery and inspiration. Creation just starts from inspiration that, you know, can come from unexpected places, which may be a reflection of an entire collection.
In 2016, many fashion houses decided to set their spring summer campaigns in attractive and exotic locations. From Versace’s Salt Flats, to Gucci’s old Berlin, to Dolce&Gabbana’s beautiful Capri Island, let’s see which are the best spring summer campaigns 2016.

Versace Spring Summer Campaigns was curated by Donatella Versace and was shoot by Steven Klein. The three main characters are Gigi Hadid, Natasha Poly and Raquel Zimmerman.
”Versace woman is an individual who is proud of her character. I love Gigi, Raquel and Natasha, and all what they represent” Donatella said. The campaign was shoot in Salt Flats in California.

Ermanno Scervino 2016 Spring Summer campaigns is set in California as well and the protagonists are Elisa Sednaoui and martial arts champion Alan Jouban. It was shoot by Peter Lindbergh. The California desert magnifies the femininity of Scervino’s looks for a strong but romantic woman.

Alberta Ferretti’s collection was designed for a woman in contact with nature. “I wanted a unique and special woman who lives in open spaces where she can free her imagination. I wanted each dress to be special, capable of expressing a strong personality and make desirable the woman who wears it”. Alberta Ferretti said. The campaign was shot by Peter Lindbergh in an imaginary desert.

The new Dondup 2016 spring summer campaigns is set in a stunning location: the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. The campaign was shot by Brianna Capozzi and was styled by Jodie Barnes and Manuela Mariotti, who says: “The choice of location refers to the key themes of the Spring-Summer Collection Dondup 2016: beauty, power and freedom.”

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli chose Africa for Valentino. The campaign was shoot by photojournalist Steve McCurry at Amboseli National Park. The designers, McCurry, the models and the assistants have traveled throughout Africa to find the right inspiration for the campaign.

Chloé campaign has been made by some supermodels like Antonina Petkovic and Ilvie Wittek and by two new faces: Celine Bouly and Ari Westphal.
The campaign was shoot in Buenos Aires by Theo Wenner and images are full of light and colors. “The shots are very intense because this season I wanted to create a new energy for the brand” said creative director Clare Waight Keller.

A very colorful campaign is the one created by Glen Luchford for Gucci, under the direction of Alessandro Di Michele.
The campaign, shoot in Berlin, is a veritable hymn to life and we can perceive pop and surreal atmospheres. The protagonists are Polina Oganicheva, Peyton Knight, Elizabeth Moore, Nicole Atieno, Mia Gruenwald, Anka Kurydina, Viola Podkopaeva, Jacob Hugo Goldhoorn, Timothy Dibble, Arnis Cievala and Anton Tofgart.

A tribute to Italian style is, as always, Dolce and Gabbana’s spring summer campaigns,
set in Capri. The campaign tells a story of simple things: conviviality, beauty and tradition.
